Day 1:
Kathgodam to Binsar (95km, 4 hours) - Arrive Kathgodam Railway Station, drive to Binsar (offbeat Kumaon hill station at 2420m altitude), scenic mountain drive through oak forests, pass through Almora (stop for lunch and views), ascend to Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary (47 sq km sanctuary established 1988, oak and rhododendron forests, habitat for leopard, Himalayan black bear, barking deer, 200+ bird species including forktail, Himalayan griffon), check-in eco-resort/KMVN Tourist Rest House inside sanctuary, afternoon easy nature walk around resort, evening bonfire, overnight Binsar|
Day 2:
Zero Point & Binsar Sanctuary - Early morning trek/drive to Zero Point (highest point in Binsar at 2412m, 4km from resort, spectacular 300km panoramic Himalayan range view including Nanda Devi, Trishul, Nanda Kot, Panchachuli, Chaukhamba peaks - one of best viewpoints in Uttarakhand, sunrise views mesmerizing with peaks turning golden, binoculars helpful, small cafe at Zero Point), return for breakfast, morning guided nature walk through sanctuary (oak, rhododendron, pine forests, spot rare birds - Himalayan griffon, forktail, koklas pheasant, butterflies, deer possible, leopard sightings rare but pug marks common, 3-4 hour gentle trek on forest trails, naturalist guide recommended), afternoon visit Binsar Mahadev Temple (ancient Shiva temple in forest, 16th century, stone architecture, peaceful location, locals worship regularly, short walk from motor road), evening relaxation, bird watching from resort, overnight Binsar|

Binsar to Kathgodam - Morning at leisure for final walks or Zero Point visit at different light, optional visit Kasar Devi Temple en route (18km, near Almora, ancient temple, hippie destination in 1960-70s, Bob Dylan and Cat Stevens visited, peaceful vibe, Crank's Ridge nearby), Bright End Corner (sunset point near Almora, 180┬░ Himalayan views), drive to Kathgodam (95km, 4 hours), arrive afternoon for train departure, or extend to Nainital (34km from Kathgodam), tour ends with pristine forest and Himalayan panorama memories (Note: Best visited Oct-March for clear mountain views, Apr-June pleasant weather, avoid monsoon Jul-Sep due to leeches and poor visibility, serious trekkers can do Binsar-Almora trek 25km)
