Day 1:
Arrive Tirupati - Arrive Tirupati (Renigunta Airport or Tirupati Railway Station), check-in hotel near temple complex, afternoon free darshan booking and rest (Sri Venkateswara Temple on Tirumala Hills 2800ft altitude, one of richest and most visited temples in world, 50000-100000 pilgrims daily), evening briefing about next day darshan procedures, overnight Tirupati|
Day 2:
Tirumala Darshan - Pre-dawn wake up (2-3 am for early darshan), drive/bus to Tirumala (22km uphill, 68 hairpin bends on ghat road), join queue for darshan (can book online Ôé╣300 Special Entry Darshan to avoid 8-12 hour free queue, or VIP Break Darshan Ôé╣500 for shorter wait, or Seegra Darshan Ôé╣300), traditional free darshan means 4-8 hours standing in queue with compartmentalized barricades, darshan of Lord Venkateswara (Balaji) lasts 5-10 seconds (devotees move quickly, "Govinda Govinda" chants fill air, Ananda Nilayam Vimanam golden tower visible, deity adorned with diamonds and jewels, prasadam laddu received after darshan - world famous), exit temple, optional head tonsure at Kalyana Katta (shaving head as offering, men commonly do, separate sections for men/women, barbers available free), afternoon visit Akasaganga waterfall near Tirumala, Papavinasam Theertham (holy waterfall where pilgrims take dip before darshan), Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple in Tirupati town, return hotel, overnight Tirupati|
