Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1:
Jaipur Arrival and Sightseeing - Arrive Jaipur, check-in heritage hotel, start Pink City tour: Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds, 5-story pink facade with 953 jharokha windows for royal ladies to observe street without being seen, iconic Jaipur landmark), City Palace (royal residence, museum with textiles, carpets, weapons, Mubarak Mahal, Chandra Mahal, Peacock Gate), Jantar Mantar (UNESCO observatory with 19 astronomical instruments, Samrat Yantra sundial accurate to 2 seconds), evening optional: Chokhi Dhani (Rajasthani village culture, folk performances, camel rides, traditional dinner - additional cost), overnight|
Day 2:
Amber Fort and Transfer to Ranthambore - Morning visit magnificent Amber Fort (11km from city, hilltop fort-palace, elephant ride up to entrance or jeep, Sheesh Mahal mirror palace, Diwan-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khas, temple, panoramic views), Jal Mahal (water palace photo stop from shore), Albert Hall Museum (Indo-Saracenic architecture, Egyptian mummy, miniature paintings, artifacts), lunch, drive to Ranthambore (180km, 3-4 hrs through Rajasthan countryside), check-in wildlife resort near park, evening safari briefing, overnight|
Day 3:
Ranthambore Safaris - Very early morning (6 AM) first jeep/canter safari in Ranthambore National Park (choose from zones 1-10, zones 1-5 have higher tiger density, 3-hour safari through sal forests, meadows, lakes, ruins; spot tigers, leopards, sloth bears, sambar deer, spotted deer, nilgai, wild boar, crocodiles in lakes, 300+ bird species; forest guide provides wildlife information and tracking), return resort for breakfast and rest (park closed midday), afternoon second safari (3:30 PM, different zone if possible, golden hour lighting better for photography, animals more active near sunset), possible tiger sighting at watering holes, overnight excited if tiger spotted|
Day 4:
Fort and Departure - Morning third safari (best chance overall with 3 safaris), after breakfast visit Ranthambore Fort inside park (UNESCO World Heritage, 1000-year-old fort on 200m hilltop, temples including Ganesh temple where marriage invitations sent, panoramic park views, historical significance), optional: Trinetra Ganesh Temple (fulfill wishes), checkout, lunch, drive back to Jaipur (arrive evening) or continue to Agra (260km for Golden Triangle), tour ends
