Arrive Kolkata - Arrive Kolkata (City of Joy), hotel check-in, evening walk on Park Street, New Market area, try Kolkata street food (kathi rolls, phuchka), overnight|
Day 2:
British Kolkata - Morning visit Victoria Memorial (white marble monument, museum with British Raj artifacts, gardens), St. Paul's Cathedral, afternoon Howrah Bridge photo stop, BBD Bagh area (Writers Building, GPO), Dalhousie Square colonial architecture, overnight|
Day 3:
North Kolkata Heritage Walk - Walking tour through narrow lanes: Kumartuli (clay idol makers preparing Durga idols), College Street (world's largest book market, Indian Coffee House), Marble Palace, Jorasanko Thakurbari (Rabindranath Tagore ancestral home museum), afternoon Kalighat Temple (Kali temple, one of 51 Shakti Peethas), overnight|
Day 4:
Kolkata Cultural - Morning visit Indian Museum (largest museum in India, Egyptian mummies, Ashoka Pillar), Birla Planetarium, afternoon cruise on Hooghly River viewing ghats, Howrah Bridge illuminated, evening shopping on Park Street, overnight|
Day 5:
Dakshineswar & Departure - Morning visit Dakshineswar Kali Temple (where Ramakrishna Paramahamsa served, on Ganges bank), Belur Math (headquarters of Ramakrishna Mission), afternoon departure
