Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1:

Arrive Antananarivo (Tana), Madagascar's capital. City tour visiting Rova royal palace complex, artisan markets, and colorful houses of lower town. Orientation dinner with Malagasy cuisine|

Day 2:

Early morning drive to Andasibe (3-4 hours, 140km). Afternoon visit Lemur Island private reserve - close encounters with friendly lemurs. Evening night walk spotting mouse lemurs, chameleons, and leaf-tailed geckos|

Day 3:

Morning guided trek Andasibe-Mantadia National Park searching for Indri lemurs - listen for their distinctive songs. Also spot diademed sifakas, brown lemurs, chameleons. Afternoon visit Vakona Reserve|

Day 4:

Fly to Morondava (western coast). Afternoon visit Avenue of the Baobabs for sunset photos with ancient 800-year-old trees up to 30 meters tall creating magical landscape|

Day 5:

Full day excursion to Tsingy de Bemaraha (UNESCO site, 200km). Trek through limestone needle formations via rope bridges and ladders. Challenging but spectacular - moderate fitness required|

Day 6:

Return to Avenue of Baobabs for sunrise. Fly to Nosy Be island (northern coast). Afternoon beach relaxation at tropical paradise|

Day 7:

Nosy Be - snorkeling excursion to Nosy Tanikely Marine Reserve with sea turtles, tropical fish, coral gardens. Or visit Lokobe Reserve for black lemurs and chameleons. Sunset dhow cruise|

Day 8:

Optional whale watching (July-September humpback migration), diving, or relax on Andilana Beach with turquoise waters and white sand. Visit ylang-ylang distilleries and vanilla plantations|

Day 9:

Fly to Tana, departure or extend to Isalo National Park for canyon hiking and ring-tailed lemurs
